Here's my story.....
I married Eric in Ocotber of 2006 in Rocky Point, Mexico.
Talk about a good time! Can you say margaritas?? It's important that I mention that when I said "I do", it meant "I will". As in "I will be a step-mom to your kids". Eric was a packaged deal. :)
We went back home as a family and started our life together as the Mikkelson family. Life moved along quickly... in February of 2007 we found out that we would be adding a little Mikkelson to the family and in October 2007, Delaney was born.
As life would have it, God did not feel that our family was complete and when Delaney was 9 months old, we found out that we were going to have another baby. In April of 2009, Brody was born and our family was complete.
SO now we have two kids in elementary school and two kids that drive. Crazy!
Fast forward to today.... I am teaching kindergarten at my kid's school. Brody is across the hall in another kindergarten class and Delaney is down the hall in first grade. I get to see them all the time. What makes this even cooler, is that the school is the same school that my brother, sister and I went to as kids. I am learning how to being a working mom-this is my first year back in 6 years and it has not been an easy transition. But I am learning.
Random Facts about me.....
I am very afraid of birds. Like a lot. Not a fan. At all.
I absolutely love chocolate milk.
I am a big football fan. Chicago Bears is my team.
Eric and I love to go dancing. We go to the country bar and we have fun spinning around!
My favorite movies are: Christmas Vacation, Pitch Perfect, The Holiday, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Love Comes Softly, The Santa Clause and White Christmas (just to name a few)
I could LIVE in sweat pants.
I really, really, really want a boat.
I am terrified of flying. If I told you my dad is a pilot would that make that statement a bit more ironic? Well, he is. But I still am terrified.
I am a HUGE traditions person. I like to create them and make sure that no matter what that we make them happen. I am Clark Griswold in that respect- and proud of it.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to me a bit more!
